This has always been true of Americans just because we are such a young nation more than for any other reason. We all want what we want and what we want isn't always good for us. So, this is the problem everyone deals with especially here in the U.S. But, given enough time we tend to do the right thing for the most people. Given enough time.
Legally, we survived Trump but just barely. Even Republicans had to follow the rule of law and accept Biden as president in the end because he won the most votes. That Trump is a criminal is a given. That Trump is a liar is a given. So, even his lies will be over come by the American people given enough time.
