But it isn't.
Believing in technology gives a person a certain viewpoint in life. However, I was raised to believe in mystical Christianity AND Technology especially if it had anything at all to do with electricity.
My Grandfather wasn't someone who went to church but he believed in Nicola Tesla as the creator of Alternating current and fluorescent lighting because he chose to be an electrician and then Electrical Contractor starting likely around the early 1900s. But, he also believed in Hunting and living in the wilds. He also used to say: "When my hunting dogs are gone I'll be gone." But, in the end that wasn't true. As an old man in Idaho I have a picture in a local Idaho newspaper of him feeding Go downs or a large type of ground squirrel that live in Idaho and all across the Great Plains. He fed them pancakes or "flapjacks" from his mining claim cabin there in Idaho after he retired and the Go downs got Fat and there was a picture of him in a local newspaper near where he lived near Elk City, Idaho feeding the go downs.
But, my grandfather believed in nature. Then my father who was born in 1916 bought a Harley 74 motorcycle secretly when he was 14. But, a big German Shepard dog came out while he was riding his younger brother on it and when the big motorcycle went down it ground up my father's leg pretty bad to the point where they wanted to take it off. But, his father refused this idea. As a result they gave my father morphine in the hospital. People didn't know as much about how one could get addicted to Morphine then so after my Dad kept his leg because his father insisted my father said he had a nervous breakdown but I think it was just withdrawals to Morphine. This accident and recovery in the hospital changed my Dad a lot and he began to seek help from religion at this point. Because when you are going through something that awful and then given morphine which is going to make you hallucinate a lot you are going to need something to help you in your life deal with all of this.
Then he graduated as Valedictorian of his senior Class in High School. But, his father wouldn't let him go to college (even though he let his two younger sisters go to college to meet a college man to marry. He was upset and wound up going to Arizona to work on his aunt's gold mine that summer because his father wouldn't let him go to college. There he had spiritual mystical experiences that summer working on the mine with an old cowboy he met there that and they worked the mine in Gila Bend in Arizona owned by his aunt.
The point of all this is that I think believing in technology AND believing in something about a Higher power is best so I learned to be a mystical Christian like my mother and father who both believed in Jesus and the resurrection but they also believed that we could become like Jesus through the evolution of reincarnation which I still believe too.
So, do I believe in Technology? Yes.
Do I also believe in mystical Christianity. Yes.
Do I also believe in Tibetan Buddhism. Yes.
And I believe what God and life show me in regard to both technology and spirit.
as a Mystical Christian God is where you find Him, Her, the Being.
IF an ant is your Guru Feed Him!
I see believing in a higher power is the same thing as studying technology.
The only difference is that Technology is the study of physical things and spirit is the study of mind and emotions and of who created us and for what purpose?
Science is the study of everything and how it works. So, studying spirit is also studying Science.
