When it was explained to me at different points by the leader of the galaxy starting around 1970, what I call the Galactic Time Guard works a little like the TVA in Loki.
In other words there are sanctioned time lines and others that I would call "Time Shards" which end suddenly because they are not properly maintained by the galaxy. So, even though what Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston are doing is often comical (even if it is in a dark way) the reality (without the comedy) is often how things work especially in regard to earth.
Nuclear holocausts with earth turning into an asteroid belt are simply not allowed to stand very long given all present variables even though a non-interference agreement permanently ended Maldek in a nuclear war around 65 million years ago which is now the Asteroid belt no agreement with the galaxy like they had will EVER be permitted in our Solar System ever again by the galaxy because of the unbalancing effect something like the blowing up of a planet does in long term in damage to ANY solar system.
