Trying to figure out what to do with Jonathan, the Boy who was born to never die
I watched the 100 year old man on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt I believe last night and as I was getting ready for bed I began to write the piece on Jonathan. I have written a lot on it so far but now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I have been experiencing the need to write something longer ready and experiencing God preparing things for me to write about. But, then again I just got out of the hospital 3 weeks ago now so many things including medicines in my life are in transition. So, I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with "Jonathan, the Boy who was born to never die".
I want it to be useful to people other than just myself so I'm trying to figure out how hearing about how humans are moving towards a type of physical immortality.
I on one level see this as a case of replacement parts like when you take a 1920 Model T Ford and keep it running here 100 years later:
But then there are other factors like what kind of gas are you going to use in your model t ford now?
And for people this is what kind of food are you going to eat? What kind of thoughts are you going to have that will allow you to live basically forever?
You see, I have realized that the main barrier to human physical immortality is psychological. The science is sound for some humans to never die. So, the main barrier is how humans presently perceive reality.
What food should you eat? What thoughts should you think? What exercise should you do? And what allows people to basically self renew forever?
One of the things I have discovered is accepting that you might die any moment of any day is one of the keys to relative immortality. Why?
Because if you are afraid to die, you might at any point just from panic alone.
However, if you already accept you could die any moment then you are prepared for death and so if you are prepared for death you might not be afraid of it at all.
So, preparing for death might be the first step to becoming immortal because of this.
Being prepared for death any given moment allows one to literally live forever!
This is one of the paradoxes of life as a human being here on earth.
