Being Born Gifted is a blessing but also difficult to survive to 30 with gifts

 Why?

Because you have senses open that most people keep covered over. So, it is more painful than what most people are experiencing. So, even though if you learn to master your senses and use them to help yourself and all mankind, you still suffer a lot to become proficient at who you are.

It was a very long road for me to get to where I presently am and many times I did not think I would survive until I was even 30 years old.

But, a few things helped me along my path to enlightenment.

Part of a statement in philosophy by the French Philosopher Descartes is:

" There is nothing so bad that no good can come of it."

Note: (The full quote goes something like this:

"There is nothing so good that no bad may come of it and nothing so bad that no good may come of it."

However, this is also translated from French and whenever you transfer something between languages problems can arise.

For example, one of my daughters is living in europe now and we had this discussion by text regarding the word Fahrt. On the Autobahn it means "exit" from the freeway in the word "AusFahrt". However, in the context of "Gute Fahrt" it means "pleasant Journey" So, my position was the word "Fahrt" meant "exit". But, that doesn't really cover it.

After going back and forth between us regarding the etymology of "Fahrt" I got to the place where I realized the best synonym for "Fahrt' Is not "Exit" but instead "Movement". However, I'm a primary English speaker with 2 years of High School Audio French so I can speak Parisian French but when someone speaks back to me they talk too fast and I cannot understand what they are saying at all. So, for this reason I can speak good Parisian French but not understand a word because they speak too fast now and I was very embarrassed by this in 2009 in Paris when I was there with my family when I realized how useless my being able to ONLY Speak Parisian French was if I couldn't also understand what people were saying to me in French.

So, "GUTE FAHRT" which is German actually means more specifically Good movement or good travel in this sense therefore "Pleasant Journey" also covers it nicely.

Also, since Low German is often what we partly are speaking in English you might also say that Gute Farht also could mean "Good Fart" but that would be wrong in this instance.

Anyway I digress from the title but my daughter and I bonded somewhat over this discussion.
