So, even though I didn't take my next Mounjaro shot this Thursday (I put it in the right thigh myself partly because I'm dealing with a Naval hernia ongoing). So, putting it in the belly fat like most people do could be problematic for me.
But, the last month did two things for me. The first thing is that it reduced my habit patterns of what I eat regularly so when I weighed myself this morning even without taking the next shot I still am maintaining my weight loss of 5 to 10 pounds for the month of being on Mounjaro. The other advantage is that I don't have to take Furosemide or Potassium because the loss of the weight and the time of year allow me to just not drink very much water and still be okay without triggering edema (swelling of the ankles which can be an added stress on your heart and physical processes).
So, even though I might not do Mounjaro again right now I still have my eating habits that I developed this past month where I don't eat very much and don't tend to eat sweets or even carbohydrates that much.
It's sort of pavlovian in that if you feel like you are going to throw up eating ice cream or cake from Mounjaro, you are still conditioned to a greater or lesser degree to not eat ice cream or cake or cookies or anything sweet when you stop taking (injecting) yourself with Mounjaro too I'm thinking now. Because much of life is about habit patterns and if you break your eating habit patterns you might just lose weight without using Mounjaro even if you only use it for a month.
