I woke up this morning and it was 48 degrees but felt like 44 outside

My wife let's the dog out to do her business and I often can't sleep until 1 to 3 am so I have to make up for the sleep somehow so when I first got up it was overcast outside and 48 degrees I noticed on my smartphone but then it said "Feels like 44 degrees". Then I sneezed because my wife left the door open to let the dog stay outside a little after doing her business. So, I went and closed the door because it was freezing inside compared to normal. This is how I started out the day. It was very foggy outside too so this just made the overcast and temperature really penetrate your bones from the humidity. In other words it wasn't dry cold like in the desert but wet cold which made Mark Twain say:

"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

We have two winters a year here. The major one is now from December to March but the 2nd winter often begins in June or earlier in April depending upon climate changes now.
