ONe of the things that struck me about the Los Angeles Fires is that there is no snow up on Mt.Wilson

 Since there has only been .16 of an inch of rain since about last March in Los Angeles (of course there is no snow on Mt. Wilson. It's not that this isn't often the case in winter time but it illustrates just how severe a drought there is in Los Angeles if there is no snow at all on Mt. Wilson which is 6000 feet in elevation approximately much like Lake Tahoe.

I wanted to get the elevation right there so I googled it. Here is what I found:
