Watching everything today made me wonder if we are embarking into a U.S. Oligarchy which might have much less to do with Republican or Democrat and more to do with Billionaires giving both attention and money to Trump and his family more than anything else. It brings to mind what the Chinese are calling Trump which is "The Dragon King" which harkens back to their Chinese Emperors in the past which some Chinese people miss.
However, there is a Chinese Saying which actually is a curse: "May you live in Interesting times!"
Because in the historical sense in interesting times thousands and thousands or even millions of people die in various ways.
I am concerned that worldwide we are entering an era where people might say: "We are now living in Interesting times."
It also reminds me of everything from the Bay of Pigs in Cuba to the Cuban Missile Crisis to the Assassination of President Kennedy to the presidency of LBJ to the election of Nixon and then Nixon resigning in 1974.
You might say: "Why does it remind of you of those times where Kennedy was assassinated and Nixon had to resign?"
Because it has the same kind of feeling of basic insanity from the late 1950s and 1960s until around 1974 when Nixon resigned which I consider the craziest time for America since World War II when people came home from that war and then killed themselves from what they had seen during the war or they just jumped off a cliff ran their cars off of cliffs or motorcycles or used guns or whatever. Then Kennedy was elected and then within 3 years he was assassinated, then Martin Luther King, then Bobby Kennedy etc.
There is a craziness in the air that the 1960s and 1970s had which is similar to these crazy times right now.
Trump has promised everyone everything. However, I don't believe he is going to make the housing crisis better or food cheaper, I just think he is in office to make money from his oligarchs (worldwide) more than anything else and I think millions are going to die just like the thousands to millions died from 1960 to 1975 or 1980 worldwide.
I'm afraid we are in for it as much or more than we were in the 1960s and 1970s in every way.
