The "Bush" is an Australian term for Wilderness or Wild places

So, if you are wondering why I'm calling wild places "The Bush" it is a term from Australia.

Also, when you are Trekking in places like that it usually means you are hiking either with a back pack or having someone carry your backpack (a porter) while you either lead or follow your porter (carrying your stuff) or if you have a guide (so you know where you are in the Himalayas) often he or she will lead you wherever you are going.

We had one porter in 1986 when we hiked in from the nearest paved road into Tarkye Gyan. His name was Bimbahador (Strong one of God) I believe is the translation of his name (They might have changed the English phonetics but the other place I remember we visited after walking about 25 miles into the bush was Shermontang, Nepal.

Eventually we went back to our room at the Snow Lion Inn in Boudanath, Kathmandu, Nepal after trekking about 50 miles though the Bush of the Himalayas.

In April of 1986 we returned to Bangkok, Thailand and stayed a few days there on the way home to San Francisco through Narito Airport in Japan.
