75 in Santa Barbara yesterday

I had thought it was pretty warm inland when it was 81 in King City and 82 by Buellton on the way to Santa Barbara and then yesterday it  was 75 in Santa Barbara too. I think most of the state was pretty warm because temperatures reached as high as 78 degrees even in places like Marina and others nearer to San Francisco. I sat out in the sun blogging yesterday when it was around 75 and it was really nice to have some sun and to be out of the rain and clouds of winter (and heavy winds bringing down trees) of the last few months on the coast near San Francisco. We also saw 20 to 30 foot waves and also waves taking tourists from the shores since Christmas too who might no know about Sneaker waves which can come up 100 or more feet onto beaches and rocks without warning (usually potentially every 7th big wave in a storm).

So, if you aren't watching the ocean every second when you are in a storm cycle you can easily be swept away to sea and be gone within 15 minutes.

But, yesterday at least 75 degrees in Santa Barbara was especially beautiful to be in after all that the last few months.
