What are the actual chances that Congress will approve the severance packages promised by Musk and Trump? 25% to 50%?

You see, ONLY Congress has the purse strings of Government. No one else. So, if Congress doesn't approve EVERYTHING that Trump and Musk have done so far nothing happens.

Since the likelihood of Congress (both Houses) actually approving the Severance packages that Musk and Trump illegally have promised laid off workers then basically these laid off workers have nothing during this transition, especially since there is a likelihood of only 25% to 50% that both houses of congress would actually approve these severance packages forced on terrified now laid off Government employees.(or soon to be laid off or fired Government employees).

Also, if you fire workers sometimes they cannot even collect unemployment compensation.

What would happen if your pay from your job suddenly stopped and you couldn't collect unemployment insurance.

That's right. within a year or so you would be bankrupt and lose everything.

Now imagine if all your neighbors were government employees were fired or laid off with nothing.

What happens then?

Whole Areas become Ghost towns and all businesses close except for maybe a few Gas Stations for people driving through.

But, all markets and banks close because no one has any money anymore to buy food without their government jobs in that area.

So, some areas automatically become ghost towns with all or most businesses closed within a year or two.

So, it isn't just government employees that are affected but also their families, all support businesses and directly and indirectly anyone on earth that any of these people owe money to in any country.

So, the whole world is affected by these government layoffs because there are at least 200,000 of them so far. 

So now, think what happens when 10,000 or more people all get laid off at once in one town who work for the government. What happens to that whole area and all support businesses? The businesses supporting those 10,000 Government employees all laid off now go bankrupt within a year or two also and all their families suffer too.

So, as the ripples go out from the mess Trump and Musk have made all over our country you can see why a Great Recession or a Great Depression isn't far away whether that is locally or the whole country or the whole world.
