Because they were already journeymen electricians in Seattle and so the government put them to work building Liberty ships which carried ammunition and tanks and planes and everything needed to fight the war in the Pacific Ocean from Ships being built in Seattle then. So, this is what they both did during World War II because they were skilled at something the military needed instead of them fighting directly in the war.

Also, they had both already spent 4 years in the Marine Corps reserve as gunners on biplane fighter planes from 1934 until 1937. Also, since my uncle was born in 1912 and my father in 1916 my father was 29 years old in 1945 and likely 26 in 1941 to begin with and his brother was 4 years older. Also, both were married and my father's older brother also had a daughter by then too which also kept them out of the war as mostly single men fought in world war two between the ages of 17 or 18 and 26 years of age then.

It is pretty obvious to me as a student of history that Putin is going to fight Europe and the U.S. for world Dominance pretty soon unless something radical changes during the next 5 years time.

The only thing that I can see that might stop this at this point is either Trump or Putin dying of natural causes or assassination.
