They were saying on the Daily Show that people all over the country are trying to get rid of their Teslas now to protest Musk

The technology that Musk invented is revolutionary in many ways. But, corporations and businesses are not the same thing as governments. Businesses are run to make money. 

But governments are run to help keep people alive and safe. They are not designed to make money they are designed to help keep people alive and safe.

When you try to make a government run like a business the usual result is people start dying like now. Herbert Hoover did the same thing and the result was THE GREAT DEPRESSION.

However since people were starving and dying all over during the Great Depression social programs like Social Security which eventually led to Medicare got going so people didn't all have to die at 50 or 60 years old like before.

The life expectancy in 1900 was only 60 years old mostly because if you couldn't work anymore you just died if you hadn't saved any money to live on.

But, by 1950 because of Social Security more than any other thing our life expectancy in the U.S. had gone to 70 years of age.

So, the way people are trying to show their unhappiness with Musk is to not buy a Tesla or to sell their Tesla or to drive it off a cliff or set it on fire in protest of Musk. This appears to be happening now all over.
