These are the lyrics to a song I wrote on piano around 1980 in Mt. Shasta. This was about the same time in life I started writing about Arcane which is here:
Hopefully the above links will work to dragonofcompassion.com which is another archive blog I pay for to keep my longer writings more available for you to read ongoing.
When the Wind comes home is actually a name to a song I wrote:
When the wind comes home
I listen for your perfect sound your perfect peace
when the wind comes home
Ho-o-o-ome to me
I think I might have written other verses for this too but they are not on the tip of my tongue right now.
Recently I sat down at my Grand Piano and played this again.
And recently my son was talking about the Wind speaking to him like the Wind has always spoken to me.
I think I most became aware of the wind when I lived in the Desert for a time with my parents because of the wide open spaces of most deserts in California the wind blows a lot. And the winds you can more easily stand out in while they blow 15 to 30 miles per hour in gusts are the winds of the Summer nights where you look up at the stars (at that time you could see the whole milky way galaxy because there were not many lights at all on Yucca Mesa in the 1970s and 1980s. I used to also have one or more off road motorcycles there to ride and I could even ride at night with the wind blowing warm all around me. I also used to own a 1960 I believe British Hillclimber that was a 600 CC engine that had a straight pipe because it wasn't licensed and just an off road motorcycle completely which would blow blue fire out the back of the straight exhaust pipe at night too driving across the desert then on sandy dirt roads.
So, the desert warm winds especially at night in summers always spoke to me of amazing things.
It's been a very good life.
It hasn't been perfect but whose life really is perfect.
However, I have been given so many gifts by God of wives and Children and parents and Friends that I will Always be Very Grateful to God for all he has given me throughout my life.
By God's Grace
