You are safer on a Bus than on a Train

 Statistically this appears to be true.

However, you are also safer in a Passenger plane (a jet) than in a bus or on a train. Though this might not seem logical this is also true.

Why is this true?

I think more things can go wrong on a train or a bus than flying with an experienced Pilot on a well maintained plane.

So, statistically this all bears out so far. You are safer on a jet passenger plane than on a bus or a train.

Also, you are safer in a car on a freeway than on side streets with stop signs and signals too which is why so many people travel on Freeways in California. It's just safer.
