However, most people are brainwashed into thinking only people are alive and everything else isn't worth keeping alive and sometimes people are taught that only their family or ethnic group should be alive too.
However, this way of thinking is generally not conducive to survival long term of the human race.
So, understanding that Literally everything is alive from humans to animals to plants to birds to rocks to trees to whatever it is might be important. Why?
I find that everything has something useful to say to you if you are prepared to listen. If you do right by everything then everything tends to do right by you.
What Goes around comes around.
As ye sow so shall ye reap
And all that.
So, listening to all life in what it is telling you might keep you alive longer. Also, listening to all life makes you feel less lonely than most people do.
Like today I was feeling lonely after the sensory overload of Traveling to North Carolina for a wedding in the family, then to 3 weeks in Austria with family and friends, then to Kauai and Maui with another couple and now I have to get used to being on the mainland once again of the U.S.
However, then I walked outside in Santa Barbara and the storm had passed and the sun was out and the clouds in the distance were beautiful and the air was clear as a bell and it was 64 degrees out (not bad sitting in the sun looking across the valley from our view on the side of a Santa Barbara hillside and I no longer felt alone and was happy looking up at the sky and watching the birds and our dog (a corgi) run around on the grass in our backyard over looking the valley where 101 runs through Santa Barbara which goes between Santa Maria and Los Angeles and points further in both directions.
Everything is alive and if you make everything your friend you likely are going to live a lot longer and be happier too!
