Proposed AI fraud bill seeks to criminalize deepfakes of federal officials
I think deepfakes of anyone should be criminalized if the person doesn't give some kind of permission for people to make deepfakes of them. This is already out of control worldwide and likely will cause many murders of people because of people who believe these deepfakes are true. You could put literally anything on a deepfake to get people to murder someone or a whole group genocided worldwide.
So, deepfakes are a very serious thing for the whole world to address and deal with through laws immediately.
