Because Trump's illegal military orders could also put our military service personnel in the same position (EVENTUALLY) as NAZI soldiers. So, following illegal orders could result in eventual Jail time or worse. A President of the U.S. is a temporary thing. what is actually important is the Constitution and laws of the U.S. here.
So, if soldiers follow illegal orders from Trump and this Administration they might wind up in jail or worse eventually. Trump is temporary. The Laws of the U.S. and world are likely much more permanent to consider for any soldier's long term survival of them or their families.

The
Nuremberg trials went on to become arguably the most famous trials in
history, bringing some measure of justice to the millions persecuted and
devastated by the Nazi regime.
80 years ago the world was struggling to come to terms with the
aftermath of the bloodiest war in history and facing up to some of the
most monstrous crimes imaginable. The question for victorious allies was
how to ensure that justice was seen to be done.
A decision was made that was unique in history; there would be an
international trial convened in the German city of Nuremberg. The senior

trial that followed would change the course of history.
