And I'm not sure how many people realize this or have studied about the fact that following illegal orders does not absolve soldiers of doing illegal things. This is what causes executions or imprisonment.
It doesn't matter what a soldier's orders are. following illegal orders will almost always eventually result in imprisonment or execution just like during the Nuremburg Trials in Europe.
If Trump tells people to do something illegal it is most likely they will be punished (possibly with ending their lives) as a result.
This is set into law strongly since at least the 1960s possibly because of Nixon telling the CIA and soldiers to do illegal things then.
