Bryan Adams "Summer of 69"

I was watching CNN tonight for new years eve show and heard Bryan Adams play at a stadium "Summer of 69'.

I was 21 in 1969 and this year had to be both the best and worst year of my life. The good part was I was no longer a virgin and before this I broke up with a girl I was intending to marry who wanted to be celibate in a marriage with me but I wanted children so this wasn't going to work. So, there were all these things that happened like the Astronauts landed on the moon July 20th 1969 and this really blew everyone's mind on earth at that time because most people 10 or 20 years before would have said "This is never going to happen" and then it did.

So, what was good about the year? "I was 21 years old and the whole world in some ways was my oyster."

What was bad about 1969. Almost everything else. My life turned upside down and I even left my childhood church because I was naive as to what a church really was. Yes. my church goers were hypocritical but what I didn't realize is that this is true of all churches not just mine at the time.

So, everything in my life went upside down and I didn't even begin to work all this out in a way where I wanted to still be alive until I was 25 years old.

This is why I often say: "I can't believe that ANYONE survives to be 30 years old.
