Not too far away from Mt. Baldy to the East south/East of Baldy is Mt. San Gorgonio which I climbed in 1969 in December. I also had to deal with the dangers of snow on Trails while doing this. However, I survived climbing the over 11,000 foot Mt San Gorgonio.
For example, I have taken a ski lift there to the top of Mt. Baldy. Many people do this but then if they go on some trails there without knowledge of snow and ice and what happens or without Crampons or snow shoes or cross country skis sometimes people die. My wife went to college nearby mt. Baldy by the way. You can easily see Mt. Baldy from her college.
