If your motivation is selfish then likely you will never get them.
But, what I have seen is that they already naturally come to people whose motivation is good and correct.
Many people wallow in their own suffering but never think about the suffering of others.
The first Noble Truth is that everyone suffers so understanding this you want to help yourself and all others go beyond suffering to something better.
Suffering has less to do with physical stuff than mental and emotional stuff.
This appears to be true too.
So, your motivation is everything in regards to enligthenment and Siddhis which are magical things people can do like Levitating.
I remember being a cave yogi in Tibet but then i was born in what is now a part of Nepal but I believe then it was a part of Tibet because my family were likely Sherpas then in the last half of the 1800s.
And I also remember learning to Levitate (as a form of transportation and expanding the Dharma of Tibetan Buddhism all across Asia then too.
However, we don't have to do this now because we have jet planes. Why?
Because you can work for a day or two and buy an Airline ticket to almost anywhere in the world, depending upon where you are working and how much money you are making per day working there.
So, now instead of meditating and doing Pujas in a Himalayan Cave for 5 years you can just work a few days and fly almost anywhere on earth (if you have a passport to do this).
So, Levitation is now much easier with Jet travel than before.
Before it took forever to get into or out of Tibet and most people died trying to do this over some of the 20,000 foot passes between Kathmandu, Nepal and Lhasa, Tibet.
In fact, a friend of mine in the 1980s around 1985 actually went to Lhasa on a bus from Kathmandu, Nepal and saw a dead busload of people at 20,000 feet who couldn't breathe and the Bus broke down so they were all mummified there and at that time rescuing their bodies was not cost effective or in some ways physically possible for most people to accomplish either.
So, things were very different in the last half of the 1800 and up to about 1950 when the Chinese invaded Tibet with Bombers and Tanks and stuff like this.
The point is Siddhis make sense if you are both compassionate and practical at the same time.
And they naturally come when you have compassion for all life in the universe and your motivations are correct.
It's sort of like this: If you build a car and it is designed correctly you can drive it all over if you have roads to drive it on. If you build a plane you can maybe fly it anywhere if you have a landing strip here and a landing strip anywhere else on earth too.
so, Siddhis are entirely practical in this sense too. Otherwise if you compassion and motivation isn't correct trying to force siddhis to happen will often kill people and this isn't a good thing to do because then you and other people might be dead and that is bad karma.
So, be compassionate and practical towards yourself and all beings in the universe.
The Tibetans actually have a name for this which is "Right Mindful Compassion".
In other words "Compassion that is practical and helps everyone both you and everyone else".
