China leader vows to protect territorial interests

Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a key foreign policy speech that the rising Asian nation would protect its sovereign territory, the Xinhua news agency reported, as it faces maritime disputes with several neighbours.

"We should firmly uphold China's territorial sovereignty, maritime rights and interests and national unity," Xi told a Communist Party meeting on foreign affairs held on Friday and Saturday, according to excerpts of his speech released by Xinhua on Sunday.
Ties between China and Japan have been strained over the past two years after Tokyo nationalised the Senkaku islands -- which it already administered -- in the East China Sea. Beijing also claims the chain, which it calls the Diaoyu islands.
China and Southeast Asian countries -- including Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Brunei -- also have competing claims for the Spratly islands in the South China Sea. Taiwan, which China considers part of its sovereign territory, also has a claim to part of the Spratlys.
Xi, both China's president and Communist Party secretary, added his country would "properly handle territorial and island disputes" but did not name them.
Relations between China and Japan have improved after Xi and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met on November 10, but Chinese coastguard ships have continued to patrol waters around the disputed islands.
On a more conciliatory note, Xi told officials at the meeting that China sought "peaceful development" and opposed the "wilful use or threat of force".
The leaders of the United States, Australia and Japan earlier this month called for peaceful resolutions of maritime disputes, after US President Barack Obama warned of the dangers of outright conflict in Asia as China contests disputed territory.
China views the US foreign policy "pivot" to the Asia-Pacific region as an attempt to contain it.
The Chinese leader made no direct reference to the United States in the portions of his speech released by Xinhua, other than saying Beijing should "manage well" relations with other major countries.

"We should fully recognise the uncertainty in China's neighbouring environment, but we should also realise that the general trend of prosperity and stability in the Asia-Pacific region will not change," Xi said.



Vladimir Putin Is Hoarding Gold, Tripling Reserves At Drastic Rate

Mr Putin's grand plan was reportedly outlined in a supposedly classified document titled "Putin: the new leader of international conservatism." The blueprint was drafted by Moscow's Centre for Strategic Communications.
"In Europe Putin dreams - and he has said this publicly - of having a sphere of influence across the continent all the way down to Portugal," the newspaper BILD reported as quoted by the Express. According to BILD, Mr Putin's strategy involves wooing different far-right political parties across Europe to support Kremlin's political influence within the European Union.

According to BILD's report, Mr Putin's strategy includes hoarding gold through front companies, thereby giving the acquired gold to the parties it can woo as means of financial support. The report also suggested that various Russian banks and other financial institutions agreed to provide cheap loans to the different political parties that will be one with Mr Putin. Curiously, a loan amounting to nine million euros was approved by the First Czech Russian Bank of Moscow to a far-right political party in France, the Front National or FN, the Express reported.
Mr Putin had also reportedly met with right-wing parties in Vienna in May, including political parties in Bulgaria, Austria and France. However, his main focus was allegedly set to Germany's only "mildly-eurosceptic party," Alternative for Germany or AFD, to get its vote in March against another looming western sanction.
Vladimir Jakunin, Mr Putin's ally and "most important western networker," was reportedly delegated to coordinate all willing political parties in a convention recently held in Berlin. Jakunin is widely known for his effective propaganda schemes that he was trusted to bolster the bonding among the "friends of Russia."
All political parties wooed and potentially will support Mr Putin were named in a separate report run by The Independent. Aside from FN and AFD, the neo-Nazi National Democratic Party or NPD and the Social Democrats or SPD were also wooed by Mr Putin. These parties were also said to attend the convention in Berlin held over the weekend.
BILD was reportedly banned from covering the convention in Berlin because of its recent criticism against Jakunin. The newspaper had apparently condemned Jakunin for saying that homosexuals have an "abnormal psychology."

When I arrived up on Mt. Hood it had been snowing since last night and was windy and about 18 degrees.

Presently it is 16 degrees and starting to get dark. Luckily I rented an all wheel drive vehicle, an SUV with snow tires on so I could make it up here. There were many people stuck along the way putting on chains or just with their wheels slipping. So, It was nice to be prepared for this. Sometimes I worry a little about car rental agencies putting in anti-freeze for these temperatures so we'll see about that because this isn't my car just an SUV all wheel drive rental. But, it handled these roads quite well.

However, we found out only the Bunny run was open and that is only about 700 feet or yards long so it isn't worth skiing on for my daughter and I. However, just being up here is wonderful once again.

My first experience at Timberline Lodge was several years ago now and it snowed about 4 to 5 feet over the 3 or 4 days we were here. That was pretty amazing to watch the snowplows moving 24 hours a day just to keep the roads open for hotel guests because the hotel is at about 6000 feet and often they will get a great deal of snow at one time near or at this altitude. When I look at the weather report they have the temperature wrong because it is already 16 degrees here not 32 as it says on the weather report. All you have to do is to walk outside with gloves, hat and scarf and ski jacket to know when you breathe that this is lower than 20 degrees by the way your lungs feel in these cold temperatures.

I might check the temperature when I get up tomorrow morning to see just how cold it gets here tonight. (I'd say somewhere between zero and 12 degrees here at 6000 feet.

If you have never been to the Timberline Lodge it is a historical landmark and built during the Great Depression. There are huge fireplaces for everyone to sit around and if you want to you can order a fireplace room to have a private room with it's own fireplace with wood provided.

The Oregon Mandatory Labeling of GMOs Initiative, Measure 92 was on the November 4, 2014 statewide ballot in Oregon as an initiated state statute, where it was narrowly defeated. Because the measure was defeated by a mere 809 votes, a recount will be held, as the margin of defeat is less than the 0.2 percent margin that automatically triggers a recount under Oregon law.^[1] The measure would have mandated the labeling of certain foodstuffs that were produced with or contained genetically modified organisms. Self Acceptance is one of the keys to life and a long life

It's basically like this:

"IF you don't accept yourself and like yourself and possibly even love being who you are then it is much harder to stay alive in a human body here on earth."

When people try to fit in "Socially acceptable boxes" they move towards a suicidal type of reality.

Why?

Because none of us perfectly fits in any box.

When I gave up trying to fit into any box and just allowed myself to love the out of doors and wilderness and realized that for me, "Wilderness was my church and my road to ongoing sanity" I was free.

This was my form of self acceptance. Yes. I could temporarily fit into cultural or work boxes. But this was never going to be me. This was something I did only to physically survive by putting money in my pocket to support me and my family and my friends.

Then there was who I really was that was nothing about cities and nothing about boxes.

None of us really fit into any boxes we only pretend to to make our lives work.

When we see ourselves as those boxes it really might not be to our advantage at all.

I never have actually seen myself as any career except as a father and as a husband.

Those two roles along with Priest or minister seemed natural ones to my mind. And yet,

I found out in my 20s that I keep growing as to my understanding of God and the Universe every day.

So, at least for me, joining any church isn't going to work because I might believe what that church represents a week or two before I discovered something I didn't believe in through my direct experiences.

So, for me, a church is not a social club or a country club. Instead it would be something I would take very seriously. If I couldn't support every single tenent in that church I can't support any of it.

The same for me with political parties. Fudging ideas just doesn't work for me. I have to believe all of it or none of it.

That's why I see myself as an Independent. Because all political parties are hypocritical in the end.

They are not what they say they are ever.

The same is true of churches. None of them are actually what they say they are.

So, for me, ideas are important. If you can't honor all of something then something is wrong with that something.

This doesn't mean you can't generally support things that are mostly right.

It just means that you have the integrity to only accept things that are completely right in all ways.

So, self acceptance is about having perfect integrity with yourself.

You are able to respect yourself because you are not compromising in any way.

However, then you have to survive and do whatever it takes to survive.

This might seem like a paradox but it isn't.

In the end if you don't do whatever it takes for you and your family to survive, none of you will survive.

This is realistic.

So, self acceptance is important.

But, then you also have to find a way to survive for yourselves and your families too, no matter what!

If you look at the world through an Intuitive's eyes

IF you actually look at the world through an intuitives eyes the question is not, "Will We survive?" Instead the question becomes, "Will ANY of us Survive here on earth?"

This is actually the question most useful.

And looked at this way, we quickly see that it is sort of "One for all and all for One" or we are all gone.

So, only by working together does the human race survive at all.

This is one of the reasons I write this blog because I see this clearly.

It is very easy to get into each of our little worlds of ethnicity or our own city block or little country town.

But, that isn't how the world of humans actually will survive.

Because unless all of us survive none of us survive.

This is the way things are now on earth.

Living in our little ethnicity or group used to work for us.

No more.

Because of things like ISIL, EBOLA, Putin, world economics, dropping price of oil because of ISIL etc.

Thinking like this only leads to extinction of all of us.

People thought like this before World War I and World War II and found this just lead to nukes, 50 million or more people dying or more. And then what came next?

The Cold War with 98 million dead and countless refugees from all the proxy wars worldwide.

Now we have a proxy war in Syria and another proxy war against ISIL that was caused by Syria.

We have Ebola out of control that was caused by Syria and Ukraine and Putin and Iran and Assad so distracting the world that likely Ebola is now endemic to earth like AIDS.

Unless we keep our eye on the chaos all of us are going to perish in this Chaos in a complete apocalypse like most of our ancestors did on Maldek (the asteroid belt planet) before it was blown up by a Thermonuclear war (which was proved by a Soviet Probe in the 1970s). And then repressed by the religions of the world because it didn't agree with their holy books somehow. Never the less billions of humanoids from which we sprang likely perished on Maldek and Mars during that Thermonuclear war.

Do we want this again here this century or next?

IF we don't we have to think Globally to prevent this from occurring once again here on Earth like before on Maldek and Mars.

Economic Sanctions are Economic Warfare

The problem with Economic sanctions is that though they are better than sending soldiers in and starting a nuclear war between two or more nuclear armed nations, they also harm both the nations sanctioning and those sanctioned (in this case Russia).

If we look right now at how precarious the economic world is on most of the planet, the last thing Europe or Russia need right now is economic warfare. However, there they both are.

Even here in the U.S. we just came out of the worst economic times (causality wise) that were cause wise many times worse than the Great Depression. However, we just happened to have people that could find a way to help us through those exceedingly bad times who had already studied the great Depression in Detail so they could better compensate for the extremes we were going through as a country economically.

So, basically the U.S. lucked out completely this last time. However, we are not completely out of the woods even though we are the strongest economy right now in the world with the least amount of real problems.

So, if we look at China, Europe and Russia there are many problems that might not be addressed in useful ways.

Any one of these nations economic or other problems could richochet back upon us here in the U.S.

For example, right now Oil Sanctions are being applied against ISIL by the government of Saudi Arabia. But, look around at the effects it is having not only on oil prices around the world but also what it is doing to oil drilling companies and shale gathering companies around the world and also will do more of that in the future.

So, it makes me think about all the people who own oil stocks that might tank for a year or two until the oil prices return to "Normal?" I'm not sure what normal is now or would be by then because by then we will definitely be in a new normal...

Also, if all kinds of people and businesses around the world get too used to low oil prices they could be devastated in all kinds of ways when oil returns to whatever "Normal?" might be when it does eventually.

So, in the end whether it is oil economic warfare by Saudi Arabia to prevent ISIL From taking over their government or whether it is economic sanctions placed upon Russia by Europe, the U.S. and various other like minded countries, I'm concerned that all this economic warfare might just hasten a Great Depression that could in fact take out over time about 1/2 of the human race through starvation or worse.

So, I think that is my concern about now. Economic warfare or nukes, either one might take out 1/2 of the human race. (And then there's Ebola).

Each of us can Help save the world one blog at a time

People need to hear the truth in order to make good decisions. So, the better research each of us do on any given subject the better bloggers we can be to help the world be better informed on any given subject.

Those of us with the time and the inclination should start a blog around the world if we are so inclined to better help everyone survive these times because they don't look like they are getting easier for most of the world.

When I look around now the only game in town in some ways is the U.S. because the Chinese business engine is being harmed by plummeting property prices and 6.8 trillion in "Ghost Cities" in which no one chooses to live.

So, if you can help the human race survive the next 50 years or so you will be doing everyone of us a favor.

An anti-Islamist former Libyan general, Khalifa Haftar, said Friday he has given himself two weeks to take Benghazi and three months to recapture the capital Tripoli.
The strongman, who is allied to the Libyan parliament, has been battling Islamist militias who took control of the war-torn country’s biggest cities this summer after their defeat in elections.
Forces loyal to Haftar and Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani are fighting for control of Benghazi in the east and have launched an offensive against Islamist positions west of the capital.
“For Tripoli we are only at the beginning,” Haftar told the Italian daily Corriere della Sera. “We need more men and more supplies and weaponry.”
“I have given myself three months, but maybe we will need less. The Islamists of Fajr Libya (Libya Dawn) are not difficult to fight, no more so than the Islamic State at Derna,” the town in the east of the war-torn country which has become a base for militants affiliated to the extremist group who control swathes of Syria and Iraq.
“But the priority is Benghazi,” Haftar said. “The Ansar Asharia (Islamist militia) is battle-hardened, that takes more work, even though we control 80 percent of the city and we are pushing forward,” he added.
The general wants parliament and al-Thani’s internationally-recognised government, now based in Tobruk, close to the Egyptian border, to come back at least to Benghazi. “I have given myself a deadline of December 15,” he said.
More than three years after dictator Moamer Kadhafi was toppled and killed in a NATO-backed revolt, Libya is awash with weapons and powerful militias, and has rival governments and parliaments.
“The Tobruk parliament is the one elected by the people. The one in Tripoli is an illegal assembly where the Islamists want to turn back history,” Haftar insisted.
“But the real danger comes from the fundamentalists who want to impose their will everywhere. If Ansar Asharia takes power here, the threat will come to you in Europe, in your houses,” he said in the interview, given close to Benghazi.
“Egypt, Algeria, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia have sent us arms and ammunitions, but only their older technology. We are not asking you (Europeans) to send us ground troops or bomber aircraft. If we have adequate military equipment we will manage,” he added.

Benghazi: A Libyan commander in the forces of prominent anti-Islamist general Khalifa Haftar has been assassinated in the eastern city of Ajdabiya, military sources said today.

"General Abdelmajid al-Zwei was killed on Thursday night by three armed men," Colonel Ahmed al-Mesmari, spokesman for Haftar's forces, told AFP.

He said that Zwei, who was also a relative of retired general Haftar, had opened fire at his assailants, one of whom was wounded and later died of his injuries.

A medical source confirmed the two deaths.

Islamist militants frequently target army officers in restive eastern Libya, where Haftar has been waging a government-backed campaign against militias to wrest back control of Libya's second city of Benghazi.

At least 356 people have been killed since the offensive was launched in October, according to medical and security sources.

More than three years after dictator Moamer Kadhafi was toppled and killed in a NATO-backed revolt, Libya is awash with weapons and powerful militias, and has rival governments and parliaments.
