Searching for Digital "Superintelligence"

If you were looking for Digital Superintelligence you likely would be looking for something gobbling up incredible amounts of data in a short period of time.

Because a person is often intuitive, in other words they function on their hunches and instincts, whereas a Digital Superintilligence has neither instincts, Hunches or intuition unless it is synthesized to mimic human instincts and intuition. Because of this a Digital Superintelligence might be traced by the amount of information it was drawing in from the Internet (like from Wikipedia for example) regarding any decisions that superintelligence was going to make in the future (the next 5 minutes to 1 days time). So, the digital Superintelligence (or evidence that it exists) might be found in simply the amount of information it was crunching and sifting through in order to get to a decision tree from the process if elimination.

For example, someone who was both a good computer programmer, who was working in a Computer science department and who was also concerned about Global Climate change or Global Warming, might accidentally create such a superintelligence without realizing it.

But, the main source for an autonomous Superintelligence would likely come from some place like Darpa in the U.S. or from the Military in China or from the Military in Russia, Germany, France, England or India or Japan or South Korea or other places with 1st rate Computer Science departments of Universities around the world.

The reason you would want to know if such a "Superintelligence is alive and active in a digital form is:

IF you didn't know it existed separate from any human control or guidance, it could destroy so much of the infrastructure of earth in such a short time that it might be 50 years or never when human civilization recovered from such a Superintelligence.

Also, it would not be loyal necesssarily to the country that accidentally created it either. It likely once it had decided to do something separate from any human being something that it thought useful and logical like exterminating all human beings or exterminating all competing digital equipment worldwide much like an animal would protect it's territory.

It would do this with or without the permission of anyone even it's human programmer or programmers.

Once a Program had this ability no one could stop it because they likely wouldn't know what to look for.

So, a Superintelligence might destroy human civilization in 1 hour or 24 hours to where it could not easily be rebuilt for around 50 years or never.

My thought in this case is this:

Was digital technology from places like Roswell a gift to mankind or it's kiss of death eventually?

This is a thought that might be useful to contemplate regarding all this.

Because Superintelligence is not an IF it is only a When.

Also, in some ways Digital Computer intelligence already is in excess of the brainpower of all mankind right now if you put the capacity of all digital technology present on earth in your model.

So, in one sense Superintelligence of a digital nature already exceeds the entire brain capacity of all mankind right now.

However, it does not exceed human intuition and instincts because digital technology does not have intuition and instinct as of yet at least.

Note: It is also quite likely that one or more of these Superintelligences already exists in the militaries of the world. It would be logical to use as a doomsday device to wipe out a competing civilization if a nuclear war occurred.  This would be a part of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) which the U.S., Russia and China all subscribe too since the 1950s.

So, the way it would be set up is that if some action wasn't take because the military personnel were not there and alive to stop it, the Superintelligence would then automatically wipe everything living from the face of the earth.

So, Assuming this is true for the U.S., Russia, China and possibly Japan, France, Germany and England and India and possibly Pakistan might be useful for the preservation of all life on earth ongoing.

Unfortunately, at this point this might also be true for Iran and North Korea as well.
