I have now watched 3 episodes of "Carnival Row"

Some of this might be more information than you might want if you are going to watch "Carnival Row" a new series with Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne by the way.

MY take on all this is this is sort of a STeam punk type of fantasy show that is in episodes now at Amazon Prime starting August 30th so only yesterday. So far I have watched 3 of the episodes.

The first episode so depressed me I wasn't going to watch anymore but then I sort of slept on it and found I was sort of invested in the characters and wondered what was going to happen to them. So the, I watched episode 2 and 3. By Episode 3 all sorts of flashbacks and interesting stuff is going on including how philo and Vignette got together in the first place. Not only is philo a Sargent in the army but forms a love alliance with Vignette who falls madly in love with him. He is smitten too but has some PTSD from the war like many men get in warfare so he is less sure of himself emotionally than her but knows he loves her dearly. The other really strange thing about this series is it reminds me a little of Harry Potter too when werewolves get involved in battles. So, you have flying faeries who are Pan-sexual (which might mean) going both ways but also going between species as well from human to faerie as well.

So, this is an interesting version of a fantasy that deals with various kinds of racism between the Pans like Puck and the Faeries like Vignette and the humans like Philo?
