There are many people depressed at all the changes the coronavirus brings. However, there have been much worse things than this that our ancestors survived. Imagine our ancestors here in the U.S. surviving the 675,000 that died in the 1918 pandemic which was then the worst pandemic ever to hit the U.S. Now we are three times that many people with much better healthcare and communications than then as well. We are not as isolated as people had to be then because we now have radio and TV and the Internet and smartphones and cell phones worldwide.
So, we don't have to worry about loved ones we haven't heard from because we can either call them or text them or video phone them or whatever or visit them while standing 6 to 12 feet away from them too. So, our lot is better than the loneliness and fear and isolation they all dealt with every day for over a year with the 1918 pandemic that was the worst anyone in the U.S. had ever seen.
However, I would say that the coronavirus is much worse in it's effects worldwide than the 1918 pandemic from everything I have seen about it in the news worldwide.
So, if you are depressed because you don't feel safe enough to travel or your work is scary because you have to work indoors where you could be exposed by others not knowing they are carrying the coronavirus, just remember the pandemics and plagues of the past that all our ancestors endured.
We are equally as strong as they were and some of us are going to survive this thing and live on and have children and grandchildren. Some of us are going to survive this thing so take hope from that.
