"Grattitude is the Motor of Life". This has always been my experience as an adult. Giving thanks is not just about recognizing what we still have to be thankful for, it is the very essence of health, life and longevity.
When you can look at life and think, "Thank God, I'm still alive!" this is going to help you to continue to stay alive. But, if all you focus on are your problems this will help you to get ill and die sooner.
It's not that one never needs to think about solutions to problems. But, what's done is done. And worrying about things you can't change will only kill you quicker.
However, being grateful for what you have still, will increase your health and immune system and increase you life span as well. So, being grateful "Giving Thanks" may actually add 50 or more years to your life if that is what you actually want.
So, "Happy Thanksgiving!"
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
