WHAT IS THIS ?
The World Health Organization is raising alarm after a virus similar to SARS has now killed two people in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, says a report from Reuters.
An update posted by the WHO Friday says that novel coronavirus, which was originally identified in September, has now killed one additional man in Qatar and has infected three additional people in Saudi Arabia.
The 49-year-old man who died in Qatar had travelled to Saudi Arabia before he got sick, says Reuters.
Friday’s statement from the WHO says there are probably more cases of novel coronavirus than have been reported.
“Until more information is available, it is prudent to consider that the virus is likely more widely distributed than just the two countries which have identified cases,” it says.

The real concern of this is that this is also how SARS started out before only in China last time. Here is a government site concerning this illness. Last time it spread through airline passengers to different places on earth. AIDS also spread at first in this way too.

Four new cases of a new SARS-related coronavirus in the Middle East were reported by the World Health Organization on Friday. Of the six known cases — all in Saudi Arabia or Qatar — two have been fatal. Only two were clearly connected; the patients were from the same Saudi family, which suggests that the virus can be transmitted from human to human. Two other members of the same family, from the Saudi capital, Riyadh, previously were ill with similar symptoms, one of whom died, the agency said. It asked all countries to step up surveillance of rapid-onset pneumonia. The Saudi Health Ministry put out a statement reassuring citizens that there was “no cause for worry — the discovered cases were few and isolated.” SARS — severe acute respiratory syndrome — emerged in China in 2002 and killed about 9 percent of the 8,273 people it infected before disappearing.

This likely will be a rough ride for the middle east and wherever else this goes for awhile as the whole world rushes to try to stop a potential pandemic from occurring worldwide. As you read this the Medical professionals from all over earth are likely trying to stop this outbreak right now.
