The Hurricane Sandy Congressional Debacle

At this point I'm very concerned at how  the owners of the 300,000 homes destroyed by Hurricane Sandy have been abused by the extreme right in Congress. I'm worried that Northeastern Senators and Congressmen and women may be taking notes and the next time a weather devastation hits an area represented by those who voted against the victims of Hurricane Sandy, they might be likely to lose any votes to give them Aid for their Hurricane, Drought, Flood or whatever. This is a really dangerous game the extreme right in the House have been playing, because very likely it will be the districts that they represent that will suffer the most in their next disaster when northeastern and other congressmen vote against aid for their areas next.

The really bad thing about this is it sets up an actual civil war kind of tit for tat and destroys the real fabric of our nation. The secessionist sentiment in many states only creates even more problems. I think secessionist states realize the country will never elect another Republican President with the present demographics we have now and into the future. So, States that are more Republican might try to secede  more in the future as a result. Strange times we live in!

I think maybe the most important thing might be: In this world here in the U.S. as always: "United We Stand but divided we fall one by one." There is only unity in this world in strength and without all states pulling together each state might as well be Greece or Syria or Somalia. Take your pick. But choose carefully.
