I think a good way to answer that question would be to ask: "Were all Americans who went into Iraq during the last 13 years harmless to Iraqis?" It is sort of like that. Americans generally had very good intentions. Did it turn out well for Iraqis? Yes and No. Would you or I have wanted to be there during the last 13 years? Probably not.
Maybe that isn't a fair analogy. But, the point I'm trying to get at is that all alien groups likely have an agenda just like the U.S. did in going into Iraq. So, to be naive about that part of it isn't useful. So, what is different groups real agenda? That likely is the million dollar question.
Another thing to think about is that: "The U.S. and the world is likely powerless (Just like the Iraqis were) to stop whatever the U.S. was going to do. So, likely the whole world is powerless to stop what any alien group might want to do too. One could be terrified by all this but that is actually kind of stupid because there NEVER was a time when aliens weren't visiting earth. It has always been this way even before the human race ever existed. So, whatever is going on they let our cultures evolve to this point even if it was only to study us as we evolved. So, since we are still here after thousands to millions of years maybe we are a lot like deer in a park that they visit like Yellowstone or Yosemite. I think that might be the best way to look at it at this point.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
