Earth vs. the Flying Saucers 1956

My wife and I were channel surfing through cable channels on TV the other night and found "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers", a movie made in 1956.

The plot line in this movie is very predictable fare for the 1950s when people were trying to get used to the idea of flying saucers from other worlds. It was very difficult for people to deal with this especially after all the horrors of world war II which had given everyone on earth a version of Post Traumatic Stress disorder who had had to be in that war or who had seen any of the horrors up close and personal. At this point in 1956 this is also true of the Korean War as well.

So, if and when you see this movie it plays to the ideas and thoughts of people here in the U.S. at that time. Though it seems very elementary and juvenile now it is important to realize that most people then didn't even have a high school diploma at that time. You didn't really need one then because a 16 or 17 year old male could support 5 people immediately if he was strong enough and willing to become a carpenter, brick layer or garbage man and healthy enough to keep doing this until he retired. Whether he had a High School diploma or not might have been irrelevant at that time.

However, the message of the movie is unmistakable from the point of view of someone in the 1950s.
But, if ufos are real then what actually is going on is completely different than you are going to see in any movie. Also, maybe we are related in some way to humanoids from other planets. If this is true then likely we are a race of relatives to them. Whatever that might mean in the long run.
