Aligning with Iran to fight ISIL?

I think Linsay Graham, the Senator said it best when he said something like, "It would be like how the U.S. temporarily aligned with Stalin in order to defeat Hitler."

This actually makes some sense. However, also we need to be aware of the fact that Iran is the biggest nation state supporter of terrorism in the entire world.  So then, both these things are true simultaneously.

And still, look how Stalin turned out to be during the Cold War that lasted from about 1945 or 50 until 1991 approximately.
