World Economies have been undermined by the last 20 years

In the distant past, terrorists were not the normal problem that nations dealt with that much.

Sometime in the 1970s through the 1990s this all changed.

Why?

I think the main reason terrorism became worse and worse in the world is nuclear weapons. It used to be that smaller nations could settle their differences among themselves without larger nations getting involved in one way or another.

However, then larger nations became colonial powers which prevented smaller nations from EVER solving their problems in any balanced way because of constant outside interference.

So, if people wanted a somewhat normal life they had to move to the bigger nations that were more stable because they were constantly meddling in smaller nations affairs so they wouldn't have bad affects on the bigger nations.

So, it is these smaller nations irresolvable problems that are causing all the terrorists around the world.

The other contributing factor is overpopulation, lack of jobs for people under 35 and the inability to get married and to support a family for about 60% of those under 35 worldwide. This also contributes to self destructive behavior among the young worldwide and also contributes to increasing terrorism as a way to vent their frustration at their being no way at all for them to live so they choose to die instead.

Osama Bin Laden came from a very affluent building contractor family from Saudi Arabia and was born in Yemen and raised their I believe. I think he was one of 57 children from one of his father's 4 or more wives and grew up and was trained as a building engineer. So, he knew how to make the Twin towers fall down because he was an engineer.

So, the tipping point for terrorism destroying the economies of whole nations was likely around the early 1990s when the first attempt on the World Trade Center happened. However, most of the world had no idea what that change was yet.

However, when 9-11 happened it was as big a change to nations worldwide as when cannons were invented and castles became vulnerable along with knights in armor which both could be pierced by cannon fire or rifle fire.

So, the world experienced a sea change from 9-11 in regard to terrorism. Though this kind of thing hasn't been repeated it has been a horror that all nations deal with from China to Europe ever since.

But, the real problem wasn't 9-11 itself it was the overreaction the western world had to this by spending 3 trillion or more dollars fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

However, statistically there are about 10 million to 11 million people in sympathy with terrorists around the world right now. And every time a drone takes out 10 people in a convoy about 100 new terrorists (their relatives and friends) are made. So, though drones solve present problems they also create future problems as those friends  become weaponized terrorists in succeeding years.

So, at present, westernized nations are fighting a war that isn't winnable using past methods.

So, hopefully, we won't run out of money before we find ways to fight this way in ways it actually can be won in a useful way without nuking whole nations completely out of existence.

Though Russia, China and Europe might agree (at some future point) that the Middle East might be better as a nuclear crater than what we are presently seeing there, the precedent of using nuclear weapons to wipe out millions of people likely would have the end result of causing the whole planet to be nuked out of existence within 100 years or so.

So, what is the solution?

The 3 trillion or more dollars that the U.S. ,Canada, Europe and Australia etc. have put into combating terrorism hasn't succeeded except in keeping terrorism on a 9-11 level out of the U.S. since 2001. So, what is the long term solution that is cost effective to actually do to keep the western world financially afloat through the next 20 to 50 years?
