If you feel uneasy in California

or anywhere on earth right now it wouldn't be surprising.

In California it's a 100 to 500 year drought at this point, The plants are all screaming and the wildlife too. I can hear it as an intuitive and sometimes it keeps me awake at night. So, if you aren't experiencing this maybe you are lucky.

Then there are rich people who are invested worrying about their portfolios having dropped about 2000 points (10% in the last couple of months). Especially retired people (or those about to retire) worry about this sort of thing.

For example, I worry that there will be less food donations because of the financial problems of the world for people who (didn't die) crossing the Mediterranean Ocean in leaky rubber boats or worse. So, I'm hoping there aren't a whole lot of dead refugees in some areas found pretty soon without enough water or food (or soon warm clothes or tents to stay out of the rain and snow in Europe).

But, locally for me it's the drought that makes the plants and trees and animals and birds scream for water and food. Raccoons have really changed their personalities a lot this summer. Only the toughest of them are surviving. I make sure never to leave my dogs out in the backyard alone in the dark because of this. (We lost one of our dogs around 2005 to raccoons).

So, if you feel uneasy anywhere on earth (join the club). Most every adult who has to cover the reality of their children and extended families is concerned right about now. So, if you too are up late worrying about the world, you are not alone.

The one thing I can say that might be helpful is this:

The world has never had exactly this set of problems in recorded history.

So, a different solution has to be created than was ever created before to solve today's problems.

So, just remember if you can formulate the right questions, you or others will come up with the answers one by one.
