The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence(1962)

  1. This is a classic movie starring Jimmie Stewart, John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Vera Miles, Andy Devine etc.  Jimmie Stewart is a young lawyer coming to a small town out west because of Horace Greeley's saying, "Go West Young Man" in the 1800s. I really enjoyed seeing it after all these years. I expected it to be about just a gunfight really but there is much more to it than that and it delves into western states becoming founded from territories and how that all worked as well. So, it is both entertaining and interesting and has some of the best actors in these types of movies of those times. (The early 1960s).
