Turned heater on the first time this summer last night

For the first time in at least two months my wife said last night, "I'm cold. Please turn the heater on."

So, even though it was 109 in Redding yesterday, along the coast where I live this heat combined with a thunderstorm moving up the coast made it seem cold and humid to my wife. So, I closed the windows (also something new in the last 2 months or so) and turned the heater on. Likly it only got down to 57 or so last night but with the humidity it was enough to chill my wife enough to where she wanted the heater on once again.

As I woke up and went out on an errand this morning the fog was down to about 10 feet above the ground. So, at least it didn't interfere with driving like it sometimes does when it touches the ground especially during the winter sometimes. But, you could feel the chill in the air. However, when I got inland a ways it was already 72 or 73 and I almost took off my flannel shirt from my other short sleaved shirt underneath.

But, now more in the evening and at night there is more of the "chill in the air" of autumn even when the day goes into the high 70s or even to 80 or beyond on some days.
