Learning about kindness and compassion is a hard lesson in life because often growing up in public school you can't afford to let your guard down and survive in a lot of situations. So, people are either taught to be kind by their parents or friends or not at all before about 18 to 20 and they either have to go to work or go to college (usually one or the other).
But, I have found the key to health, wealth and happiness is actually kindness and compassion most of all. And being grateful for each and every positive thing in your lives. Gratitude is useful to you internally and it is useful to others to hear you are grateful for whatever in your life.
I used to think growing up that saying "Please" and "Thank you" and being grateful for everything was just something I was taught to do in church. However, over time I learned the real dynamics of how it actually makes civilizations work on all levels.
Yes. It is true many people only say please and thank you because they were taught to do this and don't mean it. However, most people don't usually know whether someone means it or not. However, if you do and your smile is sincere you have just changed that person's life.
You have literally killed them with kindness.
And this is a good thing.
Because young people need to get beyond the cynicism of youth on to kindness and compassion for themselves and others as soon as possible.
Otherwise, often that cynicism can kill a person if they turn it inwards too far.
Every being is valuable. Every being is needed here on earth and has a purpose. This is something I experience every single day. Some people might not know this or know what their purpose is. And your gratitude towards them might just keep them alive another day.
Because to be honest, we all live only one day and one moment at a time.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
