Discerning reality is maybe the most important thing each of us can do. The debate about whether there is a God or Gods and whether there is a Buddha or Buddhas is not really what is important in growing up a human being. What is important is to develop the sense of truth within yourself. No teacher or minister can give you a sense of truth. You must find this for yourself. IF you let people tell you only their truths then you are going to be lost all your life and likely your life will be short.
So, discerning the truth for yourself is the only real way to peace and happiness in your life.
Churches will lie to you to get your money and your time.
People will lie to you to get your money and your time.
You will lie to yourself to comfort yourself.
But, in the end all this is a lie.
So, the only way not to find yourself dead or suicided is to diligently search for truth both within and outside of yourself.
Searching for the truth within yourself seems to be more useful generally speaking.
In the end unless you prove your truths to yourself they are all completely meaningless anyway.
So, knowing the truth is a path you have to travel alone.
This doesn't mean you cannot be married or have significant others, it just means in the end you have to find truth on your own.
No one can give it to you.
You have to give it to yourself by proving it to yourself scientifically or through faith or both.
Life is difficult, but it is much easier if you know the truth.
Know the truth and the truth will set you Free!
