Left early this morning to go to San Francisco on Business. We were fairly lucky when we left at 8 am as there were no really big jam ups between here and there. Most places we slowed down we only went down to about 10 or 15 miles per hour which is much better than just stopping for an hour. We were hoping to get our business done there by about noon which we did.
I think the longest stopped I have ever been in a car was on the Forth Bridge going out of Edinburgh, Scotland with my family in 2011. We waited (in place) about 5 hours that time without moving. Obviously people got out of their cars and went to the bathroom in nearby trees. This seemed to be more normal for them than for us here in the U.S.
Later we found out not only were they working on the bridge but they also were dealing with a potential suicider trying to jump off the bridge too. So this really messed things up for everyone. Luckily we were only driving as far north that day as Aviemore in the Cairngorms so as soon as we got over the bridge it was only a few hours north by car to there on the freeway.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
