Transubstantiation when in the Catholic Church the Priest takes wafers and grape juice or wine and transmutes them into the Body and Blood of Christ for people to eat during their services.
Transmutation is converting one thing to another. In the case of the Hopi's in their snake Ceremony being conducted now in Arizona and maybe New Mexico one is transmuting the poison of the snakes into something better. One is also praying for rain. So, what the Catholic Priest does to the wafers and the grape juice or wine through prayer, Hopis do in bringing rain and abundance to their tribes and areas and to transmute the poisons in life: mental, physical, spiritual and emotional into something more useful and life bringing and life unfolding in a harmonius way.
