I was raised a Conservative Republican so I understood these values growing up. However, then I went to college and began to understand liberal or Democratic values too and how they are also useful. AT some point I came to the conclusion that too much of either is fatal to a democracy. Too much conservatism looks a lot like what Hitler Created and too much Liberal thinking creates something that looks like the Soviet Union did.
So, my point of view is that often the best for this nation would be 4 to 8 years of one party and then 4 to 8 years of the other.
This appears to create a wonderful place to live. Or at least it did until 9-11.
At this point something got really off in all this.
So, at this point I see many things killing our democracy.
1. Globalization
2. Global Climate Change and Global Warming
3. The fragmentation of our 2 party system
There are many other factors but as we can see the white Republican party is dying if not already dead.
How will our nation function without it's two parties to create balance so our democracy can survive?
The Democractic party by itself is not militaristic enough to protect our country from Nuclear war or being destroyed from within.
But now, the Republican party has proved itself completely dysfunctional and no longer useful to enough people to actually be useful to them anymore.
How will our democracy survive and maintain balance?
We are presently moving to becoming something more like a European Union Social Democracy and that kind of United States likely cannot defend itself from within or without from being eroded the way things look at present.
How will our nation long survive?
Because Trump is a problem and not a solution to those problems we now face.
I personally think he is either now having a nervous breakdown or getting senile dementia and is not capable of being a president without destroying all life on earth.
I'm not thrilled with Hillary either but at least she is much less likely than Trump to get us all killed.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
