We are either expanding in our understanding of the universe every moment we are alive or we are contracting and dying. Expansion is living and contracting is dying. But, it is also true that there is the inbreath and there is the outbreath as we breath so this is true too in that there are times of expansion and times of contraction. It's just you don't want it to be your last time expelling breath because then your body is over and your soul usually goes somewhere else and even often to other times and spaces or to no time and no space depending upon the soul and it's relationship with the Creator.
When I started praying for "The Leisure to Practice" I had already realized I didn't want to be subservient to any one church in this or else I would have become a minister or a monk.
I came to realize that ALL RELIGIONS are becoming obsolete for mankind in this world era.
Mostly they hold people back from their full potential. I have found in my own life that "God is where you find him!" is the best policy.
"If an ant is your Guru feed him!" is the best policy.
There is nowhere that God is not and religions tend to make you think smaller than you should.
No one and no place should be eliminated in your quest for God throughout your life.
So, religions tend to limit us in our search for our perfect relationship with God and the Creator.
This is my experience. This is my ongoing belief at present.

To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
