I suggest Home Schooling your child if you cannot get help from school against bullies

In 1980 the 4th through 6th grades were moved from the grade school up to the junior high school where we lived in Mt. Shasta then and within a week an 8th grader had broken a 4th grader jaw by slugging him. We promptly pulled our three children out of the public school system in protest of this incident and put our kids for about 5 years on:

Oak Meadow provides a flexible, progressive, and secular education for independent learners from pre-k though high school.
Our high school curriculum is built on rigorous academic standards to encourage critical thinking and intellectual development, and it is customizable so you can ...
The Oak Meadow middle school curriculum supports this developmental stage by encouraging students to look inward while also exploring the outer world in greater depth. ... This option is for families who want to purchase our curriculum and homeschool independently. ... The Fifth Grade ...
Oak Meadow's accredited distance learning school combines an affordable independent schooleducation and the freedom of homeschooling.

This worked really good for out family because It also allowed us to move remotely out onto our 2 1/2 acres and construct out A-Frame to live in. By using Oak Meadow school learning materials at a distance to school our children this worked out well for all of them. The oldest is now about 48 and the youngest is 45 and all of them have one or more college degrees and all are married and doing well.
