IF it is indeed manmade (which hasn't been ruled out so far by the way) it would make
sense that China would use this virus as a way of manipulating it's own populations as
well as the rest of the world in one direction or another.
This makes complete sense. Even if the release was an accident or even if it was on purpose
that doesn't mean the government sanctioned it either.
But, it is likely a trillion dollars will be lost (worldwide) in business because of it (at a minimum) at this point.
And the problems associated with controlling something like this will cause many more people who are poor to starve to death worldwide as well. So, worldwide instead of being a 2% to 3% kill rate I'm thinking in 3rd world countries this could be a 10% to 30% kill rate depending upon how ignorant the people are of what is actually going on and how panicked they get during all this to get food and medical treatment, or to escape areas where there are a lot of cases or deaths from the virus.
