In many schools (especially private ones) they are sending students home with Chrome books which are dumb terminals that can connect through wifi to lesson plans or live or recorded lessons from teachers. So, likely there will not be summer schools open either in Kansas or California because of the ongoing problem of the Coronavirus. This is problematic for parents including my son in Oregon and my oldest daughter in San Diego regarding their children either in pre-school or grade school. So, this is now affecting millions of children across the U.S. right now including my children and grandchildren. Just realized it isn't just Portland area schools that are shut down it appears it is now state wide until April 28th at the very least.
