Why are there less cases now per day of the Delta Variant?

Because the  American people are slowly (if they don't die or get other long lasting covid problems) are becoming more immune specifically to the Delta Variants. 

But, this does NOT mean we will also be immune to future variants that could come literally from any country on earth. So, if another variant hits between now and December for example, it could be as bad or worse than the Delta ones we saw this summer and fall.
