I have often found myself to be a muse for other writers. Why is this?

I think it's because writing for me is a part of my path to enlightenment rather than a way to make a living.

The way my life has always gone I never had to write for a living. This made writing very special for me like hiking on Glaciers in Mountains. It became a holy thing I did rather than something I got paid to do.

So, as a result often what I write about inspires other writers who do get paid for writing unlike me.

So, whether I have been writing lyrics for songs or writing poetic prose or whatever I have been writing it is so deep and fundamental to my own enlightenment that often others are inspired by this kind of writing because it goes to the very essence of who we all really are.

I noticed that my writing really took off and went somewhere after I met my first Tibetan Lama in Ashland, Oregon above the Green Leaf Restaurant there by the way. I was given in 1980 in the winter "The Sword which pierces all defilement" which is the 1000 Buddhas initiation by a Ningma Tibetan Lama at that time.

I had been trying to make sense of non-dualism after having been raised in a Christian Dualistic context. I finally made sense of it when I compared it to weather.

Is rain good or bad?

Is snow good or bad?

Is wind good or bad?

Is Sun Good or bad?

It completely depends upon the situation for each person in relation to all these things. This finally explained why non-dualism is important so people can actually be adults about all aspects of their lives.

Dualism only works for people who are children their whole lives but it doesn't really tell the whole story.

Because good and bad are not absolute in nature so when we try to superimpose good and bad on nature (even our own) often it leads to suicide eventually.

Each of our qualities has two sides. If we emphasize the good in ourselves we succeed in each quality.

For example, I tend to be a very determined or stubborn person. Both these qualities go together in people.

So, I have to emphasize my Determination instead of Stubbornness so this quality has mostly or only good effects in my life and the lives of others.

When you see all your qualities as having two sides you begin to see how to be a good Adult who has positive effects on all lives including your own.

By God's Grace
