Like all herding dogs Corgis are bred for their intelligence

However, if you have a female corgi they might sometimes try to herd children or adults by nipping their heels a little. Not to draw blood but just to direct them because in the dog kingdom females tend to rule the roost because of puppies. So, adult dogs often will allow female dogs to bite their mouth or ears in the females trying to direct them in their behaviors

We now have a Blue merle Corgi that is a alpha female dog. It's okay to have a female alpha dog but a male alpha dog can be a bit much and you usually need to neuter a male alpha dog or you might have trouble with him eventually, especially certain breeds.

Our Blue Merle Corgi has been our saving grace through Covid. Because Dogs and Cats don't know Covid from a man in the moon. So, if you feed them and play with them and take them for walks they will love you as the alpha of their pack most of the time.

So, our Blue Merle Corgi has been a wonderful addition to our family. She also likes to sleep with her legs in the air with her eyes open so a lot of people in the family and visitors take pictures of her doing this because she is really trusting and amazing and has never been mistreated and she is very intelligent like many or all corgis and other Shepherding dogs.
