IF we average 1700 deaths per day from mid January (now) to mid March:

It's the 18th of January now so let's take it to mid March on the 18th of March here in 2022.

That would be approximately 60 days from now.

So, 60 times 1700 equals 102,000  deaths in the next 60 days here in the U.S.

Since we presently are around 850,000 deaths of those who tested positive before they died, if we add 102,000 to that we get 952,000 deaths by mid March.

I think it could be higher or lower than this but I think this is a reasonable estimate of the deaths by Covid we are facing here in the U.S. at present by March 18th 2022.

It says online we lost

418,500 soldiers to World War II. IF we divide 952,000 by 418,500. So, by March 18th we likely will have lost 2.27 times the soldiers we lost in World War II by then to Covid here in the U.S.

The population of the U.S. in 1945 was
139.93 million
The population of the U.S. now is               329.5 million

If we divide 329.5 million by 139.93 million we get the ratio of the number of people of those two times.
It comes out to 2.35474880297

Or if we round it off it is 2.4 times what it was in 1945.

So, ratio wise if we lose 952,000 people by March it will ratio wise be about the same as the numbers we lost in World War II when you compare the population differences to now.

when I recalculated at 952,000 instead of 970,000 which was an error it went from 2.3 times to around 2.27 times.

But, it is amazingly close to the 2.4 times between the two populations form World War II to the present.

So, the amount of people ratio wise now is similar ratio wise to the number we actually lost in World War II who were soldiers.
